Focus Has to Be Visible

Keyboard users need to know where they are before they can act.

Try It

  • A clear outline or other effective change shows the element currently receiving keyboard input. A control can have focus and still be impossible to see.
  • Removing the browser focus outline without providing an effective replacement creates a problem.
